How Can I Describe Her In a Song? – New Faces ’95
LYRICS – HOW CAN I DESCRIBE HER IN A SONG?
When she came into my life
I heard that whirrin’, purrin’ voice
Her face took all my memory
Love gave me no choice
She whet my soul with sparkling dew
Her presence like a piece of art
She has those tender eyes
And a hummingbird heart
CHORUS
How can I describe her in a song?
She’s my lover, she’s my light
How can I describe her in a song?
She’s my partner, she’s my life
How can I describe her in a song?
“I love you” is the last we said
Asleep will come in dreams not far
Her tender eyes and warming smile
And her hummingbird heart
CHORUS
She’s my friend, she’s my music
Because when we lay down at night
She makes a princess bed
She snuggles up against my soul
CHORUS

Dan Jeffs gave me the lyrics and then I wrote the music for this song. This was one of my first pieces to combine country and a slight “new age” sound. I like the piano and pedal steel parts. Also was one of my first recordings to combine real players and midi tracks.
